Secondary Carrier 1200mm

A transverse profile with a length of 1200 mm is an integral part of the metal structure for mounting the rockwool suspended ceiling.

The Secondary Carrier 1200mm transverse profile connects the main guides and forms cells of suspended metal structure, 1200x600 mm, for further insertion of mineral plates of suitable sizes. If the dimensions of the Armstrong rockwool ceiling tiles are 600x600 mm, the resulting cells are divided into smaller ones by installing additional 600 mm transverse profiles.

Like the main guide, the transverse profile (or also known as the transverse strip) for the suspended ceiling is made of thin sheet low carbon steel with galvanic zinc coating, which protects the metal core from corrosion. As an additional protection and decorative coating, the profile is powder coated. Standard colors - white, black and painted in desired colors. The anti-corrosion coating allows the Armstrong transverse profile to be used in rooms of any purpose, even with increased relative humidity.

Metal cross-sections for suspended ceilings in cross section resemble the inverted letter “T”, in which the vertical rib determines the rigidity of the supporting element, and the horizontal racks on both sides serve as a supporting surface for the installation of Armstrong mineral sheets. It is also used in metal ceiling panel flooring.

The Secondary Carrier 1200mm includes a lock at both ends, the guide profile forming cells with a suspended metal structure, allowing you to easily, quickly and accurately connect it to the main guides. The end of the transverse profile is inserted into the slot of the main carrier and pushed into the stop with a slight pressure. After assembly, all guide surfaces must be in the same plane for Armstrong installation. When connecting the individual elements of the metal frame, additional fasteners are not required. All profiles are self-locked.

Cross Carrier 1200mm, Vertical stiffener has many rectangular and round holes. Rectangular openings are designed to fix the transverse profile with a length of 0.6 m, and round holes are used for mounting additional suspensions (if necessary) on the wire rod.
